Concierge Physical Therapy and Pilates Experience

The hallmark of Dr. Martin’s work is concierge care,  especially in the field of women’s health. Her extensive background stems from her love of movement and passion for helping people achieve their goals. Helping others navigate the dovetail of life experiences, activity experiences, and life stages is primary. Others Say

I am a long-time yoga instructor and have worked with Dr. Suzanne Martin for 15 years on my hyper-flexibility and related issues.  Beginning with my diagnosis of osteoarthritis in my hip which required a hip replacement, Suzanne helped me, pre-surgery, to strengthen muscles, and post-surgery, to regain flexibility and strength to continue my yoga practice and teaching. And she has continued to support me through a second hip replacement and ongoing foot issues.

Catherine

Suzanne has helped me navigate the pain, injury, and disability associated with EDS hypermobility for years using Pilates and a trove of other tools. She is a talented, master educator, and her skill and encouragement have allowed me to live a more functional and active life.

JR

Dr. Suzanne Martin has been my physical therapist for over fifteen years. Having worked a physically demanding job in hotel service for over thirty years, she has helped me immensely through several injuries, including chronic back pain, wrist tendinitis and shoulder injuries. My injuries were not magically erased, yet Suzanne kept me in balance through her sensitive manual therapy, exercises, insight and advice which allowed me to continue working and doing recreational activities, especially my long term participation in adult ballet and Pilates.

Dearest Suzanne, “Thank you’ hardly seems adequate in light of all you have done for me. I am eternally grateful for your expert, kind and loving care. I will never forget how you have helped my “wounded wing” back into a fully functioning arm..during PT sessions full of laughter, fun, friendship and connection.

E/ Cancer Survivor

I've been going to Suzanne Martin for physical therapy for years. As an older dancer, I've faced a variety of injuries, and every time, Suzanne has alleviated my pain and given me information and physical exercises that have allowed me to keep dancing. Suzanne holds a wealth of knowledge that she applies to her work, and she keeps current with the latest development in the field. Any time I sought advice from my regular physician, their advice was the same: stop dancing. Suzanne never judged me that way and instead has always given me constructive therapy to set me right and improve my general well-being. I'm 62 and still dancing, and I wouldn't be without Suzanne's wisdom.

Dr. Suzanne Martin is a brilliant, caring physical therapist and a master in getting to the root cause of pain and discomfort. I first sought treatment from her after a car accident almost 20 years ago. She not only helped with my back pain, but was able to help me with chronic muscle imbalance as well. My experience with her was so life changing that I continued to seek her treatment at different stages of my life. After the birth of my second child, I suffered from pelvic prolapse. I was experiencing severe incontinence and other discomforts. Knowing how helpful Dr. Suzanne Martin had been in the past, I shared with her what I was going through. She was able to identify the various factors contributing to the incontinence and provided hands-on care and guidance that has already made a huge difference in just a few sessions.

Female pelvic health is rarely spoken of in general medicine. But, the way in which Dr. Suzanne Martin has approached our conversations has been educational and empowering. It is no exaggeration that Dr. Suzanne Martin is a genius in her field. I am so grateful to have that level of professional care along with her deep compassion.
